Challenge

In a crowded holiday season, Rakuten needed standout content that went beyond traditional celebrity campaigns. The goal was to translate their value prop into social-first storytelling that felt entertaining and culturally relevant—while maximizing their ongoing partnership with Stephen Curry through both timely holiday moments and evergreen content.

Approach

We led creative and production end-to-end, developing social-first concepts rooted in storytelling and entertainment.

For the holiday campaign, we produced a two-part video series featuring Stephen Curry—bringing Rakuten’s value to life through light, culturally relevant narratives supported by scripting, storyboarding, and full-scale production.

To extend the partnership, we created Flashback Fashion, an evergreen concept reimagining iconic looks from Steph’s life through modern recreations. The piece blended nostalgia and style, integrating Rakuten naturally by making each look shoppable within the story.

Results

The holiday series drove strong social performance across Rakuten and Steph’s channels, generating high engagement and positive audience response.

Flashback Fashion extended the campaign’s impact with strong evergreen performance—reinforcing Rakuten’s partnership with Stephen Curry while delivering lasting value across social. Together, the work balanced timely relevance with long-term storytelling.
