Challenge
The Golden State Warriors implemented their new City Edition Jersey and court to their 2020-2021 season to pay homage to the 87 seasons played in Oakland, CA. To celebrate their Oakland roots and launch the new design, they wanted to send custom jerseys to Bay Area influencers and asked Kurieo to help them get there.
Approach
Kurieo took the initial idea from the Warriors and we amped it up, presenting them with not only the jerseys they initially wanted, but curated and designed a kit full of local, artisan products that truly tells the story of the Golden State Warriors’ Oakland roots. Our unique kits featured a custom Nike City Edition Jersey, an Oakland Forever enamel pin set, a framed art piece by local artist EMAGN1, and Oaklandish x Warriors t-shirt, and a custom Giant Fortune Cookie by Oakland Fortune Cookie Factory and were sent to 25 Bay Area, California celebrities and social media influencers.
Results
The kits were well received by the 25 influencers, showing them off to more than 17M followers.
