Challenge
Waymo partnered with the Golden State Valkyries as part of a season-long sponsorship and needed a standout launch moment. We were tasked with creating a partnership announcement that introduced the collaboration to fans in a way that felt authentic to both the brand and the team while overcoming the technical challenge of filming inside a self-driving car.
Approach
We developed the creative concept, scripting, and storyboards for both an announcement video. Our production team rigged and shot inside the Waymo vehicle, directing the Valkyries’ Head Coach and Team President as on-camera talent. We owned all video production, editing, and post-production, delivering assets optimized for social, teeing off the season-long campaign.
Results
“The Journey Starts Now” successfully kicked off the partnership and generated strong engagement across channels. The campaign positioned Waymo as a key partner in the Valkyries’ inaugural season and built anticipation for the collaboration all season long.
