Challenge
Juneteenth and Pride Night called for activations that went beyond standard in-game moments—honoring each community authentically while giving fans something meaningful to take home. The goal was to balance cultural storytelling, representation, and fan energy in a way that felt true to the Valkyries’ identity.
Approach
We led both campaigns end-to-end, developing creative strategy, branding, in-arena motion graphics, and fan giveaways.
For Juneteenth, we partnered with artist Taylor Smalls to create an original artwork and produced limited-edition prints for fans in attendance, supported by a BTS mini-doc.
For Pride, we designed and produced accordion hand fans for all attendees and collaborated with Favianna Rodriguez on vibrant motion graphics, alongside a behind-the-scenes feature highlighting her perspective.
Results
Both activations turned game nights into immersive cultural moments—pairing fan giveaways with cohesive visuals and storytelling.
The artwork and designed pieces became lasting symbols of representation, while the supporting content extended impact beyond the arena—reinforcing the Valkyries’ commitment to community and culture.
